: ج يرابيعُ : (حن) حيوان ثدييّ من رتبة القوارض، على هيئة الفأر وأكبر منه، وله ذنب طويل ينتهي بخصلة من الشّعر، وهو قصير اليدين طويل الرِّجلين يقتات بالنبات والحشرات وصغار الطيور يعيش في صحاري مصر والسودان وشمال إفريقيا، يطلق على الذكر والأنثى، وتقول له العامة (جربوع) بالجيم.
