: ج سواعِدُ : (شر) جزء الذِّراع ما بين المِرْفَق والكفّ من أعلى
🇬🇧 Translation:
: Plural: sawa'id : (Anatomy) The part of the arm between the elbow and the hand from above [Forearm] (Forearm).
: قَوِي، صار عزيزًا ومنيعًا - ساعِدَا الطَّائر : جناحاه - ساعد الإنزال : من الأذرع أو الدّوافع الصَّغيرة النّاتئة على جانب السَّفينة، تستخدم للرَّفع - فلانٌ ساعِده الأيمن : يعتمد عليه اعتمادًا كبيرًا - شَدَّ الله على ساعدك : أعانك - شمَّر عن ساعِد الجدّ : اجتهد وجدّ - فتَّ في ساعِده : أضعفه، وثبّط عزيمتَه، أوهن قوَّته - ليس لبني فلان ساعد : ليس لهم رئيس يعتمدونه - مفتول الساعد : قويّ العضل.
🇬🇧 Translation:
To become strong, become mighty and formidable - sa'ida at-ta'ir : the bird's wings - sa'id al-inzal : one of the arms or small propulsors projecting on the side of a ship, used for lifting [Davits] - fulanun sa'iduhu al-ayman : the person he relies on / his right-hand man - shadda allahu 'ala sa'idika : may Allah strengthen you - shammara 'an sa'id al-jiddi : worked hard and earnestly - fattha fi sa'idihi : weakened him, discouraged him - laysa libani fulanin sa'id : so-and-so's tribe has no leader to rely on - maftul as-sa'id : strong-muscled/brawny (Arm/Right-hand man).
