خفِشَ يَخفَش، خَفَشًا، فهو أخفشُ

ضعُف بصرُه في النُّور الشَّديد، فأبصر بالليل دون النهار.

🇬🇧 Translation: His eyesight weakened in bright light, so he could see at night but not during the day (day blindness/hemeralopia).

صغرت عينُه، وفسدت جفونه بلا وجَع.

🇬🇧 Translation: His eye became small, and his eyelids spoiled without pain.
