: ثاني ملوك اليهود وأحدُ أنبياء بني إسرائيل، والد سليمان الحكيم عليه السلام، يرقى نسبه إلى إسحاق بن إبراهيم عليهما السلام، اتَّخذ أورشليم عاصمة لمملكته، وهو أوّل من عمل الدروعَ ولبسها وألبسها، فلم يكن قبله دروع وإنّما كانت صفائحُ من حديد مضروبة، وكذلك ألان الله له الحديدَ، وأنزل عليه الزَّبور
🇬🇧 Translation:
: The second king of the Jews and one of the prophets of the Children of Israel, the father of wise Solomon, peace be upon him. His lineage traces back to Isaac son of Abraham, peace be upon them. He made Jerusalem the capital of his kingdom, and he was the first to make armor, wear it, and clothe others in it; before him there was no armor, only forged iron plates. Likewise, Allah made iron soft for him and revealed the Psalms (Zabur) to him
: ما كان يترنّم به من الأناشيد والأدعية، كتاب جمعت فيه مزاميرُ داوود وسليمان وآصاف، وهو الذي يقال له الزّبور - نغمة داوود : يضرب بها المثلُ في الطِّيب، وكان داوود عليه السلام إذا قام في محرابه يقرأ الزَّبور عكفت عليه الوحشُ والطيرُ تصغي إليه.
🇬🇧 Translation:
: The chants and prayers he used to sing, a book compiling the psalms of David, Solomon, and Asaph, which is called the Zabur - The tone/voice of David: Used as a proverb for sweetness of sound. When David, peace be upon him, stood in his sanctuary reciting the Psalms, wild beasts and birds would gather around him to listen.
